Auction vs buy-now
Auctions often end lower than fixed price for niche items with few bidders — especially Polish-language listings invisible to foreign buyers who never translate the site. Your competition is smaller than on eBay.de for the same object class.
How to bid from outside Poland
- Set up ParcelPoland address first — seller will not ship abroad.
- Use Chrome translate on listing; verify "Wysyłka z: Polska".
- Check seller feedback (min. 50+ for auctions).
- Enter max bid; Allegro auto-bids for you in PLN increments.
- Pay immediately on win — Polish sellers expect fast payment.
- Seller ships to Warsaw; we handle the rest via Polbox.world.
Card and PayPal work on many auctions. Some sellers are BLIK-only — skip those auctions unless you have a Polish payment proxy (most foreigners do not).
Sniping strategy
Allegro auctions end on clock time — last-second bids are common. Put your real max bid 30 seconds before end; do not manual-bid emotionally in the final minute.
After you win
Message seller with your forwarding address formatted clearly:
- Your name + customer ID
- Warehouse street in Warsaw
- Phone number we provide in dashboard
Risks
- Incomplete descriptions on used auctions — read carefully.
- No returns on some auction lots — factor condition risk.
- Heavy freight lots — confirm dimensions before bidding.
