What "declared value" means
The commercial invoice attached to your international shipment states what you paid Polish sellers. Customs in your country uses that number to assess import VAT, duty, and processing fees.
We declare based on invoices inside the consolidated box — not random numbers you guess.
EU destinations
Poland → Germany, France, Netherlands, etc.: no customs duty on EU goods movement. Polish VAT was charged at purchase; no second import duty within EU. Simple.
UK post-Brexit
Imports from Poland pay UK VAT (and duty if applicable). Budget 20% VAT on goods value plus courier disbursement fee. Still often net-positive vs UK retail for Polish-sourced baskets.
USA
Duty varies by HS code. Many consumer goods low/zero. Electronics and textiles differ. State taxes may apply. Keep individual Allegro PDF invoices.
Australia / Canada
GST/HST on import common. Biosecurity (AU) and CBSA (CA) may inspect food and wooden items. Declare food honestly.
Why under-declaring fails
- X-ray and spot checks routine
- Penalties + seizure + account bans
- Insurance pays declared value — lowball and you lose on damage claims
- Breaks seller trust — we will not do it
- Consolidate to optimize shipping, not cheat customs
- Shop Polish sales (Black Friday, Allegro Days)
- Remove outer packaging to cut weight
- Time orders to stay under personal import thresholds where legal de minimis exists — policy changes; check your country yearly
