Hey,
Few things are more frustrating than a parcel that seems to disappear halfway through its journey. Here's how I keep track of shipments from Poland:
- Always save the tracking number in a dedicated note or sheet — don't rely on finding it in your inbox later.
- Use a universal tracker like Parcels.app or 17track. They aggregate data from carriers and their local handover partners, which is invaluable once a parcel leaves Poland.
- Check both the origin carrier (e.g. DPD PL) and the destination carrier (e.g. DPD UK). Sometimes status updates only appear on one side.
- Don't panic if there's a 2–3 day gap when the parcel crosses the border and customs — that's normal.
- If the last status is "in customs" for over a week, contact the destination carrier, not the origin.
For really important parcels I take screenshots of the tracking page every day; it helped me once when a carrier tried to claim the parcel was delivered.
What tracking tools do you rely on?

Good summary! 17track is my favourite too. One small thing I'd add: if you're using a forwarder, the internal tracking in their dashboard is usually more detailed than what carriers publish. With Polbox for example I could see the exact moment each store's parcel arrived at the warehouse, which made it much easier to time the consolidation request.

Good tracking workflow. One tool worth adding to the list: Parcel Monitor and 17track both aggregate tracking from Polish carriers (Poczta Polska, InPost, DHL PL, DPD PL) into a single interface. Useful when you have multiple parcels in transit and do not want to check each carrier site separately. For Poczta Polska specifically: the domestic tracking updates are granular but once the package crosses the border and is handed to the destination country post, updates can go quiet for several days. This is normal and not a sign that anything is wrong - it just means the package is in transit in the destination country postal network. If tracking has not updated in 10+ business days after showing departure from Poland, then it is worth contacting the sender or the forwarding service to investigate. Most delays self-resolve within 3-4 weeks for standard post.
